The 1981 GPz1100 was Kawasaki's large air-cooled superbike and its first 1,100 cc model, using Bosch electronic fuel injection on a 1,089 cc, two-valve-per-cylinder four derived from the Z1000. Its chassis had a steel cradle frame, coil/air forks and a swingarm with twin adjustable dampers. The source calls it one of the most powerful fours of its year, though it is heavy and high-seated.
